Booking and cancellation
Appointments can be booked by email at claudia@bodyperfected.com, by phone, or via WhatsApp. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellation or change. Late cancellations (under 24 hours) and missed appointments are charged at the full session rate to compensate the clinician's reserved time. Repeat short-notice cancellations may result in a requirement to prepay future appointments.
Clinical scope
Acupuncture and TCM treatments are delivered by Claudia Ferreira, a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC). Manual lymphatic drainage and nutritional therapy are delivered to RCHM- and BANT-aligned standards. All treatments follow a thorough TCM and Western intake. We reserve the right to decline any treatment where it is not clinically indicated, not in your best interest, or unsafe given your medical history. We will refer you to your GP, an A&E department, or a relevant specialist where the presentation requires care outside the scope of integrative TCM practice.
Coordination with other clinicians
Where you are also under the care of a fertility clinic, surgeon, GP, or other specialist, we work alongside them, not instead of them. We never recommend stopping prescribed medication; any change to a prescription is a decision between you and the prescribing clinician. With your consent we share treatment notes with your other clinicians where it supports safer care.
Consent
Verbal informed consent is obtained for every assessment and treatment. Consent covers the specific techniques to be used (acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, tuina, MLD, herbal formula), expected outcomes, possible adverse responses, and any agreed home-care or supplement plan. You may withdraw consent and end any treatment at any time without explanation.
Records and follow-up
You are entitled to a written summary of your assessment, working diagnosis, and treatment plan after each visit. Subsequent appointments include reassessment against baseline measures from your first session. Discharge happens by mutual agreement when the goals of treatment are met — there is no expectation that you complete a fixed number of sessions.
Liability
Claudia Ferreira carries full professional indemnity insurance. Adverse responses to treatment, while uncommon, can occur — we discuss the relevant risks with you before any technique we believe carries material risk in your specific case. Where a herbal formula is prescribed, we screen for interactions with any current medication; you should disclose all medications and supplements at intake and any time they change.
